Enkhuizen was a prime port during the golden era of the Dutch East India Company. You can rediscover this period by visiting the Zuiderzee Museum, a popular destination for young and old. The open air part of the museum offers 135 period buildings collected from the area and canals, gardens and trees as they would have appeared in the late 18th century. The town is very well preserved. Click the map markers to learn more about Enkhuizen in North Holland.
